Bronze Horse - Ist Century BC ~ watercolour, ink and pencil on Bockingford

I loved the RA Bronze exhibition earlier this year and have been working on this bronze horse for Ashdown gallery for their equine show later this month.

As you can see I have employed all my favourite techniques to achieve the patina on the metal. A simple palette of Indigo, Yellow Ochre, Viridian, Cobalt Turquoise and Quinacridone Gold was used to push the colour.  See the folowing pictures for detailed views of the textures.
